Ways to Enable the Windows 8 Snap Feature on Low Resolution Monitors


Like various other app of Windows 8, its Snap feature is also advanced and new one. This snap feature make you able to view apps and the desktop both side by side. But to use this feature,monitor with 1366 x 768 resolution or better is required.

You need to be very careful to follow the steps and always remember back up the registry first.
So, use the keyboard shortcut Windows Key + R to open the Registry Editor and type regedit and click on OK.  Click Yes when User Account Control window comes up.

Now follow the commands given below:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ImmersiveShell.

Now Right click on ImmersiveShell after that click on New then Key. After that you have to type AppPositioner and press Enter for the new Key value.

Now make a Right click on it and select New and then DWORD (32-bit) Value.

Now type AlwayEnableLSSnapping and press Enter. After that right click on AlwaysEnableLSSnapping and choose Modify.

Windows will display Edit DWORD (32-bit) Value . Now change the Value Data from 0 to 1 and then click OK. Now close the Registry Editor and restart your computer.

Now you are ready to use the Windows 8 Snap feature on the lower resolution display. If you have any kind of problem with this operating system then go for windows 8 support.
